As far as the menu for today, protein shake for lunch and a bowl of leftover chili for dinner. Nothing new.
A couple of other things to add. Some people have been asking about any results and if I lost any weight. I will say I feel pretty good. For the first week, I lost approx 5 lbs., and that was basically just changing my diet. Also, I changed my dog Shadow's brand of dog food. So, now we're both on new programs! My boy, Brad Dawson, gives their dogs Blue Buffalo http://bluebuffalo.com/ and lives by it. Mainly because it is truly all natural with no by-products, preservatives etc. I always gave him Nutro (Natural Choice), which I always thought was pretty good. This stuff is supposed to be even better.
My Biggest Fan and Blue Buffalo brand.
I been mixing it with his old food to switch him over this week
Times have changed. Hell, we used to give our dog Gaines Burgers when I was a little kid! Anyone remember those?! Shaped liked burger patties?!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYzEFf1K5m4 People love their dogs.
Good job Neil. Keep it up! Very proud of you making a healthy change. Better watch out it becomes addicting. Great choice of dog food for your dog. I have been feeding my dogs that since they were born.
ReplyDeleteI'll keep checking up on you. Stay strong!

Great job, Neil!! We used to feed our dog Gaines Burgers too!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're improving Shadow's diet as well! I would go a step further and give him Orijen because I really think it's the best food on the market at least when it comes to dry food. Ideally you want to get closest to raw, which is what dogs, cats, etc. would eat in the wild, but obviously it's not easy nor cheap to do. And of course a complete contradiction to vegan which I struggle with myself. Try to stay away from the barley, rice, etc. because they are carbs, i.e., fillers and not part of a natural diet.
ReplyDeleteI give Paris Orijen senior dry and mix it with freeze-dried Grandma Lucy's Pure which is human grade food. Not downed cows or corn fed cattle! My 2 cents :-)
