Day 1

I woke up after my Super Bowl party with not much in the cupboards, but surprisingly no hangover.  I sent my friend, Big E, home last night with what was nixed by the auditing firm of Russo, Rains, Dawson & Cobb.  This was after I smoked my last rack of baby backs in the BGE and fried a boatload of buffalo wings for the party!  So, in the morning I had my usual cups of black coffee, but added a granola bar.  So far, so good! 

For a late lunch, I went to one of my favorite burrito places, Willy's( www.willys.com ).  My first vegan meal out.  A burrito bowl with nothing but vegetables.  Not too bad even without a tortilla.  I didn't try the tofu (I'm scared) and I skipped the chips...     
   

Then, I met my consultant and fellow vegan, Russo, over at Whole Paycheck to stock up for the week.  We walked the aisles and I got a nice 101 on shopping for vegan foods.  Surprisingly, there are a lot of alternatives.  $75 later... did I mention Whole Paycheck? Now,  I'm on my way! 


Final meal: 
Since I ate a late lunch, I just had a bowl of cereal with almond milk.  This was the first time I ever tried almond milk! It was flavored vanilla and was sweet. Pretty good, actually.  I survived Day 1 and created this blog.  29 more days to go!
